well at the third meeting we heard the record of member of MPAA convversation in answering any questions.He said that V-chip can works in blocking box office movies because there is a intermediary between viewer and TV industry,and he said that the using of V-chip can't work well for films because the sytem can be destroyed by children due to their capability to unlock the system.

in last meeting, we discussed the last part of V-chip on TV programs.
We had been given the material for next 2 week.
because there will be Lebaran Holiday.

Last meeting,we talked about the job.Is it suitable for men or women.We listened to a record of a talk show about manny,male nanny.It's an interesting topic for me because i haven't heard that men could take care of children and do the women's work.
Next meeting,we will have quiz.
I wish I could do the test well so that I could get the best score.

Last monday, we listened to a record that told us about the male and female's job. I just knew that there's a job which is not for women but male can do too.
We listened to a talk show and the guest was a male nanny called manny. That's an unusual job for men,I think.

Fourth and fifth meeting......
I'm trying to cover up the meetng before and after idul fitri holiday....
Before:
We listened to the new recording of v-chip. He said that v-chip isnt really effective since the TI developed the v-chip.
Well, the recordng is better than the recordng with rick marin.
We are given the new material for the next meeting. It's about women's work.
After:
We discussed new topic about women's work. The first one we talked about is childcare. And we listened an interview with male nanny(manny).
The recordng is very clear. Well, i think it's because the interview is live in the studio, not by phone......
Well, okay.....z.....
Next meeting is the quiz time. I hope i can do the best n the recording is as clear as previous meeting.

Oh! (¤_¤) i forget to answer last week question about obsgen doctors.
My sister-who studies in medical- said that obsgen doctor has to be ready for 24 hours to be called, and has to come to the hospital for 36 hours a day.
I think that's why men have bigger opportunity to become one, since they have more strength than women.
About male midwife. I think if we have one, we really should change the name into midhusband.

after idul fitri we stepped out to the new material,we have disccused any kinds of jobs in last meeting.Manny,is one of the job which viewed as strange job,male nanny can take care of children just like women do.

I've tried learning by online listening lab.I've tried some materials in easy, medium, and difficult stages.
It is more than my expectation. I learn not only listening skill, but also vocabularies and some idioms.
Thanks, Pak Depe for giving us this link. That helped me doing my quiz.
However, I haven't found the question materials similar to what we've discussed in class i.e. analyzing arguments and opinion.
Would you like to give us other links to online listening sites?

Last time we met in class discussing our quiz, you told us to get familiar in English. We should practice our English regularly either by watching movie, listening news, doing conversation, or learning from online class.
I have tried to watch Metro This Morning @ 7 a.m. three or four times a week. Guys, it's really helpful.

ehmm....sorry for being late to post weekly journal in listening.it is because i forget the sites,so i ask my friend,then.
well,,during my lebaran holiday...i watched foreign movies to improve my listening skill.
i visited on line listening lab when i came back to solo.
hehehe...it because internet service is very far from my house and i have to spend much money with the lack of facilities for itand also my full time during lebaran holiday.so i prefer to visit it in solo.
about the last topic we discussed...MANNY...
i think is is rarely found in indonesia and i don't agree about it because it is women's job and if is applied in indonesia i think i'll emerge something strange in our society....
overall..i'll take exercises to increase my speaking skill from many sources.....

I have opened the online listening lab sir,,It was interesting. The topics were various, and I like the speakers especially the kid talking about zoo...hahaha
The lab help me very much in increasing my listening ability, and of course my vocabulary.
